Information Guidelines

Club/ Team Eligibility

Entry is open to affiliated clubs/ associations of FFA member (state federation), School groups or any other National Federation sanction by FIFA. Teams from Australia must be sanctioned by their associations and member federation. The same applies for International teams who will have to be sanctioned by their national federation. 

Player Eligibility: All players registered to a team must be nationally registered players.

The Pre Season Cup

offers 3 separate events:

NPL Youth Boys Pre Season Cup: Suitable for NPL and ambitious Division 1 teams (U13-U18) capped at 12 teams. 2 Day event

WNPL Youth Pre Season Cup: WNPL and ambitious Division 1 teams (U14-U18) capped at 12 teams. 2 day event.

JDL Pre Season Cup: JDL and ambitious Division 1 teams (U9-U12) capped at 12 teams per category. 1 day event.

GJDL Pre Season Cup: GJDL and ambitious Division 1 teams (U10-U13) capped at 12 teams per category. 1 day event.

Miniroos Boys : Suitable for ambitious Community clubs (U8-U12) capped at 12 teams per category.  1 day event.

Miniroos Girls : Suitable for ambitious Community clubs (U9-U12) capped at 12 teams per category. 1 day event.

Community Youth Boys : Suitable for ambitious Community clubs (U13-U18) capped at 12 teams per category.  2 day event

Community Youth Girls : Suitable for ambitious Community clubs (U14-U18) capped at 12 teams per category.  2 day event.

The Pre Season Cup Organising Committee (PSCOC) reserves the right to place teams into divisions that may not be their preferred nomination.

U10-U12-(13G)

– Field Size: L60 x W40
– Playing time: 20mins
– Goal size: 5×2
– No half time
– Max number of players 14
– 3 Team Officials

U13-U16

Played in line with FIFA laws and FA guidelines
– 11v11
– Field Size: Full Field
– Playing time: 30mins
– Goal size: Full Size
– No half time
– Max number of players 16
– 3 Team Officials

Competition Structure
Teams will be placed in 2 pools of 6 where they will play all the teams in their pool once, and proceed to the final. All teams will play 6 games.

No Extra time

Games needing a result will go straight to a penalty shootout. 

Proof of age: All participating players will require official identification

*All registration fees will incur an online processing fee ontop of the registration fee

U8-U9: 12 players + 3 Officials

Registration Fee: 
Before October 30th: $1100 After October 30th $1200

U10-U12: 14 players + 3 Officials

Registration Fee: 
Before October 30th: $1300 After October 30th $1400

U13-U16: 16 players + 3 Officials

Registration Fee: 
Before October 30th: $1500 After October 30th $1600

Sanctioning and Insurance

All domestic teams require a letter of sanction from their member federation. Letters of sanctions must state the the participants are covered by the member federations insurance. Participants are encouraged to also take out personal sports injury/private health insurance.
Entry to International teams is only available to FIFA affiliated associations or schools. Teams must include a letter of sanction from their national football association. International teams must also have proof of travel insurance to cover personal accidents or injury.

Accreditation Process

All players participating in the event will accreditation including media and officials.
Players will be required to wear wrist bands for the duration of the event. Any missing wrist band will have to be replaced with a $5 payment.
